Food = Medicine: The Key to the Equation
Wednesday, April 5, 2017

7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Can our bodies create medicine from what we eat? Join Carol Heckman, Registered Nurse and Certified Natural Health Practitioner at Chesapeake Holistic Health Center, on a journey through your digestion, and learn how you can best support this critical function to elevate your health and well-being.

This workshop is the first in a springtime series on enhancing wellness with food and self-care practices, held at Gampopa Center of Annapolis.

The Price of Beauty
Wednesday, May 3, 2017
7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

No one wants harmful chemicals in their homes or on their bodies, but it can be challenging to identify what is harmful and where these substances might be found. In this workshop, participants will learn about health impacts of toxic chemicals in our personal care products, and health-supportive alternatives. Carol Heckman, Registered Nurse and Certified Natural Health Practitioner at Chesapeake Holistic Health Center, will guide participants through personal care product labels, so that they can identify and eliminate toxic ingredients from their homes. Participants are encouraged to bring in a product they use.

This workshop is the second in a springtime series on enhancing wellness with food and self-care practices, held at Gampopa Center of Annapolis.

Relax to the Max
Wednesday, June 7, 2017
7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

How can we build ease into our day? What habits can we cultivate to develop a sense of luxuriant health, even when engaging fully with the world? In this workshop, you will learn how to alchemize your stress response: understand your body’s interpretations and responses to stressors, and how you can transform these as they unfold into experiences supportive of health and well-being.

This is the third and final workshop in a springtime series on enhancing wellness with food and self-care practices, held at Gampopa Center of Annapolis.
