Faced with everyday challenges and larger societal injustices, it is very easy to fall into a negative or dismal mindset. At the same time, when we create space and receptive awareness, we are able to respond to challenges with clarity, love and compassion.

In this spirit, join us in solidarity with our sister community in Jakarta, Indonesia, as well as with our sisters and brothers marching for human rights in Washington, DC, on Friday, January 18th through Sunday, January 20th, at the Gampopa Center for a Solidarity Retreat for Compassion and Peace. This retreat will include three days of yoga and mantra recitations, specifically the mantra of the Buddha of Compassion, Chenrezig. The goal of the retreat over the three day period is to accumulate over 100 million Chenrezig mantras. This is also known as a Mani Dundrub.

This retreat is part of a larger event in being held simultaneously in Jakarta, Indonesia. Real time streaming of the live event in will be shown 9PM onwards Friday and Saturday.

Please feel free to drop in any time for all or part of the sessions below.

If you are unable to attend the retreat but would still like to participate by accumulating mantras, you can also submit your mantra accumulations to us by filling out this brief 2-question form.
