Gampopa Center has the great honor of hosting the Tashi Kyil Touring Monks. The monks are touring the USA to spread the message of peace and compassion and receive donations for their monastery. Their Abbot is Arjia Rinpoche, Abbot of the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center in Bloomington, Indiana.  Rinpoche was once the Abbot of the great Kumbum Monastery in Amdo, Tibet until he escaped to the USA in 1998. Since then he has been working to support Tibetans in refugee settlements in India.  Rinpoche is the 8th Agya Hotogtu, the reincarnation of the father of Lama Tsongkhapa.
