The joy of discovering and learning more  about what the teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni have to offer in our daily lives is the primary theme of this class.  Therefore, the course is designed to provide those beginning their Buddhist practice, or just curious about Buddhism, with a basic understanding of Tibetan Buddhist traditions.  In doing so, Buddhism 101 will focus on introducing fundamentals of spiritual practice, philosophy, meditation, and mindfulness.

Historical and cultural background will also be provided.  It is the goal that participants will become better acquainted with the basic tenets of Buddhism and more confidant and knowledgeable about advancing their practice.
