I’ve added a new link to the Resources sidebar, Lama Kathy’s Downloads. It’s a collection of short teachings that I think most people will find helpful, especially if they are fairly new to Buddhism. All are in pdf format and are nicely laid out for printing.

Like most web sites with blogs, ours includes an rss feed. Our feed can be found at http://www.gampopacenter.com/feed/, though if you click on that link, what you see will depend on which web browser you use. Our feed contains the text of all the articles posted on our events page. Normally you use an rss feed reader to view a feed. There are both stand alone feed readers and feed readers that run in a web browser. The advantage of using a feed reader rather than going to our site directly is that a feed reader allows you to check out many sites at once and lets you know when there is a new post on a site. This blog post explains rss feeds further and this wikipedia article lists many feed readers. For those who would rather use email to read our posts, we now provide a service that will email them to you, via the third party service Feed My Inbox. You can subscribe to this service by using the form on the upper left side of our site.

I misunderstood what Lama wanted me to do with my notes, so I removed them. I hope to have them back in their new form sometime soon. As I understand it, Lama prefers the blog format to something more formal, so expect me to continue writing about his classes here. The dharma page will be reserved for his writings.

I’ve added a new page to this site, which will serve as the top page for dharma teachings. The page has notes from Lama’s teachings on the Seven Points of Mind Training. You may find it helpful to read these notes before attending the class. I also added a map to the directions page to help you find the way to our center. In the future notes from teachings will go on the dharma teachings page and less formal comments on the class will be added to this weblog under the notes category.
